How we handle your data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Schaltworks ("Schaltworks", "we", "us") collects when you visit our website or use our services, how we use that information, who we share it with, and what rights you have. Who We Are

Schaltworks is a Delaware limited liability company operating a pay-per-lead agency for home service businesses, founded by Linus Michael. We generate qualified homeowner leads via paid advertising and deliver them to contractors who purchase a batch.

What We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Application form / qualification quiz: trade, location, crew size, sales setup, growth intent, timeline, service area, company name, and website.
  • Booking form: name, email, phone number, and any details you enter when booking a strategy call.
  • Email correspondence: anything you send us via email.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time on page, referral source, device type, browser, approximate location (city level), and interactions with the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies for analytics and advertising. See the section below on third-party services for specifics.

How We Use It

  • Qualify and respond to your application
  • Schedule, conduct, and follow up on strategy calls
  • Deliver leads you have purchased
  • Send invoices, receipts, and service updates
  • Improve our website, ads, and service
  • Comply with legal obligations

Third-Party Services We Use

Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram)

We use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance, build audiences, and optimize delivery. Meta collects information about your visit using cookies. You can learn more and manage your preferences at facebook.com/privacy.

Umami Analytics

We use Umami to understand which pages perform and which do not. Umami is privacy-focused and does not use cookies by default.

GoHighLevel (GHL)

We use GoHighLevel as our CRM and booking system. When you book a strategy call, your information is stored in GHL so we can prepare for the call and follow up with you.

Email service providers

We use email platforms to send you transactional messages (confirmations, calendar invites, pre-call notes) and, if you opt in, marketing content.

SMS Communications

Who SMS opt-in applies to: SMS opt-in is collected exclusively from prospective business clients (US contractors and business owners) who book a consultation call with Schaltworks at schaltworks.com/book. SMS opt-in is not collected from any other audience. We do not collect SMS opt-in from consumers, homeowners, or any third-party data source.

Purpose: The SMS messages are strictly transactional and include only: (1) one appointment confirmation when the call is booked, (2) up to three appointment reminders (24 hours, 4 hours, and 1 hour before the call), and (3) any rescheduling communications. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS of any kind.

Opt-in mechanics: You opt into SMS by checking the consent box on the booking form at schaltworks.com/book. The consent text reads: "I agree to receive appointment confirmation and reminder SMS from Schaltworks. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates apply. See Privacy Policy." See our full SMS Consent page for the complete opt-in flow and sample messages.

Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS we send. Reply HELP for assistance.

Frequency: You will receive no more than 4 SMS messages per scheduled call (1 confirmation + up to 3 reminders).

No sharing of SMS opt-in data with third parties: Schaltworks does not sell, share, rent, or disclose phone numbers or SMS opt-in information to any third party for any purpose, including affiliates, marketing partners, contractor-buyers in our other services, or any other entity. This restriction is absolute and specific to SMS consent data. Phone numbers collected via the booking form are stored in our CRM (GoHighLevel) and transmitted only through our SMS provider (Twilio via LeadConnector) strictly to deliver the transactional reminders described above. SMS opt-in data is never combined with, exported to, or used in any other Schaltworks service.

Separation from lead generation services: Schaltworks operates separate services. The SMS opt-in described in this section is only for B2B booking confirmations as described above. Any other Schaltworks service that involves data collection (such as homeowner lead generation for contractor clients) operates under separate consent mechanisms and does not include or use the SMS opt-in described here.

Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier. Schaltworks does not charge for SMS.

Age: You must be 18 or older to consent to receive SMS from Schaltworks.

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS across our website and forms.
  • Access controls on our CRM (GoHighLevel), email platform, and SMS provider (Twilio/LeadConnector) so that only authorized personnel can view personal data.
  • Strong authentication (multi-factor where available) on all administrative accounts.
  • Regular review of third-party vendors for their own security practices.
  • Limited data retention (see "How Long We Keep It" below).

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@schaltworks.com.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (listed above) who help us operate the business
  • Contractors who purchase leads: if you are a homeowner who filled out a lead form, your information is delivered to the contractor who bought that batch. This is the whole point of the service.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes listed above, or as required by law. Applications that do not result in a call are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Customer records are kept for the duration of the relationship plus 7 years for tax and legal reasons.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Port your data to another service
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time (every marketing email has an unsubscribe link)

To exercise any of these rights, email info@schaltworks.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use two kinds of cookies:

  • Essential: required for the site to work (e.g., remembering your qualification answers between quiz steps).
  • Analytics and advertising: Meta Pixel and similar tags for measuring and improving ads.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not break the site.

Children

Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International Users

Schaltworks is a Delaware LLC and primarily serves US businesses. Data may be processed in the United States and in the European Union (where parts of our operations are run). By using our site, you consent to your data being processed in both regions.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on this page.
